Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Pilates Method (“The Pilates Method,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: your email address and authentication details when you sign up (including via Google sign-in, if used).
- Profile & preferences: the goal, preferred practice time, and time zone you choose during onboarding.
- Practice activity: which practices you start and complete, your progress within a practice, and any private reflection notes you save.
- Payment data: subscription status and billing metadata. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical data: limited log, device, and error information used to keep the Service secure and working.
2. How we use your information
- to provide the Service, deliver practices, and save your progress;
- to process subscriptions, trials, renewals, and cancellations;
- to verify your email, secure accounts, and prevent abuse;
- to send essential service and account emails;
- to diagnose problems and improve reliability and quality.
3. Service providers we share data with
We share the minimum data necessary with providers who process it on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing and billing.
- Mux — secure video streaming.
- Our email provider — sending confirmation and account emails.
- Error & rate-limit infrastructure — to keep the Service stable and secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We do not use advertising trackers.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records (for example, payment records) by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@pilatesmethod.app from your account address.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and signed, expiring video links — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and respond promptly to issues.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children and is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@pilatesmethod.app and we will delete it.
9. International users
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you.
